CONTENT I'd like to share with you my recent experience with a scammer! For all you newbies in the stock market, I'm grateful I didn't get scammed. It was a life-or-death experience. No one's money comes from the wind, and being scammed by a scammer is a lifelong regret.
I've been learning about stock trading lately, and I stumbled upon a Telegram group dedicated to Tesla. The blogger, very friendly at first, told me to block anyone who added me in the group and not allow private chats. This is a common practice among bloggers, and I thought it was perfectly normal. It turns out he was actually the biggest scam!
The following is a brief timeline of the events leading up to the incident. He primarily promoted Tesla's stock, primarily through options trading, but some newbies like me also held actual stock. After joining the group, I briefly discussed my current Tesla account and the size of my positions. I didn't dare tell the truth, so I just gave a random number. I'm cautious about options and didn't invest. He once privately messaged me and asked me to try following a few options. Since he was so confident, I followed his trades once that evening. The next day, I didn't have time to check before the market opened, but he called me multiple times and left messages, urging me to sell options. I made a small profit my first time. I thought he was pretty responsible, and I started building my reputation.
His profile: Divorced, with one daughter, semi-retired to the US through investment, over 40, formerly involved in training and investment businesses. But he sounded 50. After a few days of knowing each other, he started asking me if I had any questions, saying I was more grateful in the group, unlike others who would criticize him after a single loss after making a dozen profits. I politely thanked him, saying that investing is a personal choice, and whether or not to follow suit is your own responsibility.
We started chatting after that, and he said it was rare to find someone as grateful as I was, so he decided to help me make money. Triple-digitalizing my account in three months wouldn't be a problem. He'd occasionally bring up the cryptocurrency world, but I had no interest in it, so I ignored him. In the group chat, perhaps sensing I'd let my guard down, he suggested buying a few coins to try. I figured, okay, since I was already making money, it seemed like he was being kind. The next day, the coins went up 6%, even though I bought them through his own brokerage. I hope this post will serve as a warning to everyone! Never transfer your coins through someone else's link. You might be transferring to someone else's wallet address!
