The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) issued announcements on Tuesday (April 16) regarding the revocation or extension of the suspension of the licenses of three investment firms.
FTX EU Ltd (formerly K-DNA FINANCIAL SERVICES LTD)
In accordance with The Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law, CySEC has decided to extend the suspension of the license of FTX EU Ltd until 30 September 2024.
The license has been under suspension since November 11, 2022, and has undergone suspension extension four times.
FTX EU Ltd is the operating company of the previously embattled cryptocurrency exchange FTX in Europe, with license number 273/15.
In addition, FTX founder and former CEO Sam Bankman-Fried was sentenced to 25 years in prison for fraud and other charges.
AAA Trade Ltd
Forex broker AAATrade's Cyprus license was also revoked by the regulator.
CySEC made the decision at a meeting held on March 4 this year.
AAATrade used to hold a CIF license with license number 244/14. Currently, the company's regulatory status in Cyprus is under "Voluntary Renunciation".
Stockstech Investments Ltd
CySEC has decided on April 8 to revoke the license of Stockstech Investments Ltd (No. 419/22) under the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law.
Currently, the company's regulatory status on CySEC's company page is "Voluntary Renunciation". And its approved websites (www.stocks.com和www.stockstech.com) are no longer accessible.
