Indian Pharmacist Commits Suicide After Lossing Over INR 6M in Forex Scam

According to the Indian police, a 51-year-old pharmacist at a medical college & hospital in India suffered a loss of INR 6 million in a Forex scam. Unable to cope with the shock, the victim ultimately chose to end his life, which is heartbreaking.

According to the suicide note left by the deceased, he encountered four Forex investment fraudsters during his lifetime. It is reported that these scammers communicated with him through SMS & chat apps and lured him to download a forex trading application, promising him lucrative profits.

Even though the victim's trading account showed profits, he did not receive the actual transfer.

In a short span of three months, the fraudster grabbed about INR 6 million and then disappeared with the money.

Evidence showed that the deceased did not approach the police about his experience during his lifetime.

The victim lived alone in an apartment he had rented. On September 3, he checked in at the hotel where the incident took place and lost contact after 8 pm the next day.

In the afternoon of Sept. 5, the management of the incident hotel noticed something unusual and used a spare key to open the room where the victim was staying. Police also found an empty bottle of pesticide, a cell phone, and a four-page suicide note in the room.
