Gloria Ntazola, a Tiktok from Kenya, shared her experiences with a forex scam on social media.
Ntazola said she met a man online and was recommended to learn how to trade forex. She thought the man was a trustworthy lover, but ended up being swindled out of 900,000 shillings.
Ntazola said she was not going to disclose the man's identity but told how the scammer operated.
The man was ostensibly helping Ntazola learn how to trade forex, but, in fact, he was just using her interest in forex trading to lure the victim into giving money.
She admitted that she does want a better life, so she may even be willing to become an accomplice to the scammers if the man told the truth. However, the scammer was just trying to manipulate her and cheating her out of money.
“Don't lie to me.”
“I am a very honest person who can even do any deal that will better our lives. I am always down to do a lot to live a good life.”
The incident hit Ntazola so hard that she was not only cheated out of her money but also emotionally hurt.
After realizing she had been scammed, Ntazola reminded everyone: “A lot of these online traders who claim to be trading, driving around with luxurious cars are living very busy lives are not traders, they are scammers.”
“You cannot be trading for one or two months and make five, ten, twenty or thirty million. ”
