Online trading and investment company Saxo Bank has promoted Tara Tyan, who has been with the company for almost six years, as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for MENA.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Tyan joined the Bank's MENA division in July 2018 as Regional Head of Marketing. During her time at Saxo Bank, Tyan has demonstrated her capabilities and leadership skills to progress through various roles. From June to October 2022, she served as the Interim Global Head of Go-to-Market at Saxo Bank, and later took on the responsibility of Head of Go-to-Market for MENA, UK & Switzerland until March 2024. Tyan initially joined the bank in June 2015, where she held the position of Marketing Manager for MENA until March 2017.
Previously, Tyan held senior marketing roles at leading financial services companies, including Global Events Manager at FxPro Group, Senior Marketing Manager at Equiti.com, and Marketing Director at JM Financial Services. In June 2013, Tyan started her career in the financial sector as Regional Marketing Manager at Easy Forex, a leading online Forex and CFD trading platform.
Earlier this month, Saxo Bank updated its trading data for February 2024, with a total volume of $358.3 billion, the lowest level in the past 17 months, and an unsatisfactory financial performance.
