XTB Appoints Jan Byrski as Chairman of Supervisory Board

X-Trade Brokers (XTB), a leading FX & CFD broker based in Poland, has appointed Jan Byrski as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, effective 22 November 2021.

As seen on his LinkedIn profile, Byrski is currently a professor in Economic Law in the Faculty of Finance at the Kracow University of Economics. He is also a Partner and Attorney-at-law at Traple Konarski Podrecki & Partners, where he has been employed within the company for 17 years. 

Prof. Byrski a member of the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) organization and SABI-IOD (Data Protection Officer Association, Poland), and Vice-President of the FinTech Committee of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT). He is a member of working parties at the KNF Office on the development of financial innovation (FinTech) and MC working groups, including distributed registers and blockchain.

In the end of October, XTB published its financial results for Q3-2021, revealing an impressive rebound from its Q2 results. The broker reported revenue of PLN 196.6 million (USD $49 million) and a net profit of PLN 101.5 million ($25 million) in Q3, which is a significant improvement from the $14 million in revenue and a loss of $6 million the company has reported in Q2.
