Securities Market Agency

The Slovenian Securities Market Agency (ATVP) is a legal entity under public law in charge of supervising the market in financial instruments. It was founded on 13 March 1994. Its tasks and competencies are defined by the Market in Financial Instruments Act (ZTFI). 

The Agency is independent in implementing its tasks and responsibilities. It is financed from taxes and fees paid by the participants on the market in financial instruments.

Record Requirements: Document records of all investment services, account books, administrative and/or business records, customer records, customer orders and transaction records, information disclosure records, etc.

Generally speaking, ATVP-regulated broker profile will be found at the Lists And Registers page on ATVP website. Try to find it and check if it will match the info from the broker website.

1. Enter the ATVP website https://www.a-tvp.si/eng ;

2. Enter the Lists And Registers page and select "Investment firms, banks and management companies authorised to provide investment services and activities" in the column of "Lists of issued licences";

3. Enter the reference number or name of the company into the search bar on this page;

4. Check the company details.

The ATVP has no rules on complaints, so investors had better contact the financial company that provides the service.
