The fraudulent platforms have no licenses issued by financial watchdogs, posing significant risks to investors.

The number of entities blacked out since July 2019, when Consob got the power to order that the websites of fraudulent financial intermediaries be blacked out, has thus risen to 1291.

Consob emphasizes the critical importance of exercising utmost diligence to make well-informed investment decisions and protect one's savings. This includes adopting prudent and sensible practices, such as verifying in advance that financial service websites are operated by authorized entities and ensuring that a prospectus has been published for any financial product offering.
