XTX Markets Appoints Barclays Ex-CEO Tim Throsby as Director

XTX Markets Limited has officially announced the appointment of Timothy James Osborne Throsby as a director of the company. Throsby has extensive experience in several areas, including finance and education, and is expected to strengthen the strategic direction and management of XTX Markets.

Throsby currently serves as Managing Partner, President, and Chief Risk Officer of Phoenix Merchant Partners, a role he has held since February 2023. Founded in 2022, Phoenix Merchant Partners focuses on providing comprehensive financing solutions to middle-market companies with an emphasis on private credit expertise and tailored financial strategies. In addition to his role at Phoenix Merchant Partners, Throsby serves as  Non-Executive Director for Zen Educate and Light & Wonder, positions he has held since August 2022 and October 2020, respectively.

Throsby was previously Chief Executive Officer of Barclays Bank Plc and Barclays International, where he oversaw the Corporate Bank and Investment Bank divisions. He also held key positions at J.P. Morgan, including Global Head of Equities and Managing Director.
