Regulated online FX and CFDs trading platform Pepperstone has hired Dianah Njeri lgati as its Regional Head of Compliance for Melbourne, Australia.
In her new role, Dianah will be responsible for managing Pepperstone's Regulatory Compliance and AML/CFT Risk Compliance division, ensuring that OTC derivatives offered by the firm in Australia, Asia Pacific, China, Vietnam, Thailand, the Middle East, LATAM, the UAE, and the Bahamas comply with the regulatory compliance requirements of their respective local regulators - the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC), Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA UAE), Securities Commission of the Bahamas (SCB), and Financial Services Commission (Mauritius).
Dianah has extensive experience in compliance and legal matters and joined Pepperstone from Scope Markets, a leading FX and CFDs trading provider, where she spent over four years as General Counsel, Chief Compliance & MLRO for Scope Markets Kenya. Prior to that, Dianah was Head of Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer at EGM Securities, Kenya's first non-dealing online FX broker licensed and regulated by the Capital Markets Authority of Kenya (CMA). She previously worked as a legal assistant at the CMA on legal matters relating to licensing and approvals.
In addition, since September 2021, Dianah has been a member of the Professional Development Committee at The Institute of Certified Secretaries.
Dianah holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Kenyatta University and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Finance and Financial Law from SOAS University of London.
