Five Clones of Alchemy Markets Warned by Malta Financial Regulator

On December 9, the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) announced five cloned entities posing as legitimate forex broker Alchemy Markets, reminding investors to beware of investment scams.

According to the regulator, the five cloned entities are Secure Octabit Ltd., AceStock System, Imperial Capitals, Fxswiftrade, and LibertyOptionMarket. They promoted financial services to investors through their websites, claiming or implying that they were regulated brokers, which was not true.

The websites used by these entities are https://secureoctabit.com/, https://accestocksystem.com/, https://imperialcapitals.com/, https://fxswiftrade.com/, and https:// libertyoptionmarket.com/.

Secure Octabit Ltd claims to be located in the United Kingdom, and AceStock System and Fxswiftrade claim to be U.S.-based companies. Besides, Imperial Capitals did not provide any information about its physical location.

In addition, Imperial Capitals and LibertyOptionMarket claimed to be “Maltese investment service suppliers”.

The MFSA emphasized that the warned websites were not authorized to provide services in or from Malta and were not affiliated with the legitimate company Alchemy Markets Ltd. These entities are clones of the regulated firm and the public should avoid trading with them.

The regulator also reminded that financial services consumers should confirm that the entities they choose are supervised by the MFSA or other reputable regulators, otherwise, they should avoid dealing with them.
