CMC Markets Receives Bermuda Financial License and Opens New Office

On Tuesday (March 25), global online trading services provider CMC Markets announced that it has received a license from offshore regulator Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) and opened a new office in Bermuda.

According to the broker, with this new license, CMC will expand its operations and onboard new clients in areas not previously served. The new office in Bermuda will also further expand the markets that CMC can cover, offering a diverse range of platforms and products to a broader client base.

To provide a fast and seamless client onboarding process in the newly opened Bermuda office, CMC has partnered with fintech companies, including FYNXT, a Singapore-based fintech company that provides a modular platform for multi-asset brokers and financial institutions, and Sumsub, an integrated verification platform that specializes in KYC (Know Your Customer) and anti-money laundering compliance services.

Founded in 1989, CMC Markets Plc, listed on the London Stock Exchange, provides 12,000 financial instruments such as forex, CFDs and stocks to clients in many countries and regions around the world.

In addition to the newly acquired Bermuda license, CMC also holds licenses issued by several globally respected financial regulators, such as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) of the United Kingdom, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
